Leave everyday life behind and enjoy the peaceful setting at the edge of the forest, just 3 km from Münstertal’s center. Idyllically situated in the Untermünstertal district, Rotenbuck, the apartment is a perfect base for hiking and mountain biking. The trail up the Belchen, one of the Black Forest’s most beautiful peaks, starts right next to the house. From here, you can reach the Teufelsgrund visitor mine and its healing tunnels in a few minutes by car, or visit the Münstertal Benedictine monastery of St. Trudpert from the ninth century. Other nearby attractions include the picturesque old town of Staufen, the mystical Nonnenmattweiher lake in the forest, the thermal baths in Bad Krozingen, and the sunny city of Freiburg im Breisgau with its cathedral and historic old town. The Markgräflerland and Kaiserstuhl regions offer rolling hills covered in vineyards. A train or car trip to Basel or a day trip to Alsace/France is also highly recommended.
